| Salty Dog Trip Planning South Canoe Trails are emerging from winter and Salty Dog 2025 preparations are in full swing! See below for event trip planning, accommodations and dining options. We have added more single track to the course, trail updates and maps below. The Salty Dog is a 100% Volunteer Run Event! Hosted by the Shuswap Cycling Society, a non-profit society dedicated to promoting cycling in the Shuswap. Salty Dog Weekend: No Dogs at the Race Site Due to event insurance reasons we do not allow dogs in Any of The Race Site Areas. We ask all racers to respect this important request and plan accordingly. We all have great pooches – but with 800 – 1500 folks in the race area, trails & start finish zones, and if we all brought our dogs for the day – a Salty Dog mayhem would ensue. Salty Package Pick Up Sat May 10, 9am-5pm, Downtown, Salmon Arm Salty Dog Package Pick Up (Details) is only offered Sat May 10th, downtown Salmon Arm, near Skookum Cycle. Need package pick help? Call a Buddy! We do offer the Salty Buddy Package Pick Up Option. Government issued identification is required to pick up race package. It is acceptable to pick up for another registered rider with confirmation, see Buddy Package Pick Up. Buddy package pick up procedures: 1. Provide your Salty Buddy with a photo of you, the front and back of a government ID that shows the name and address of me, the racer. For example your driver’s license or school ID. Me the racer, emails Salty Dog Registration a note, with ID and name of person picking up racer plate and chip, and cc’ing my Buddy as well. Email [email protected]. 2. Your Buddy comes to the Saturday package pickup (details above). They show us the photo of the ID you provided them on their phone. 3. Lastly, you buy Your Buddy a tasty refreshing local beverage on race day in the Salty Beer Garden!
