Friday, May 8th – Social Ride. In town early? Come for a social ride with other racers, local riders and race organizers and industry supporters and race sponsors. Look for details close to race weekend.
Saturday, May 9th – Mandatory Racer Package Pickup downtown Salmon Arm. Come downtown and enjoy the Springfest on Hudson and pick up your race package. Lots of local vendors, industry sponsors and entertainment.

Salmon Arm Camping Resort RV sites and cottages on Hwy 97B just outside of Salmon Arm. This site is the one that is closest to the South Canoe trail system (where the race will be held) and is just a few minutes drive away.
Elk’s Hall & RV Park RV and tenting sites on a quiet side road just outside of town. This site is the second closest and is about a 10 minute drive from the Salty Dog race site.
Pierres Point Campground A popular lakeshore site 8 km west of town that has RV and tenting sites. This spot is about a 15-minute drive from the race site and is operated by the Adams Lake Indian Band.
Viewpoint RV & Cottages Similar to Pierre’s Point, this site is a short drive west of town and is about 15 minutes away from where the race will be held. There are tenting and RV sites, as well as cottages that are available for rent.
Riverside RV Park & Campground RV and tenting sites on the Shuswap River. This site is located in Enderby, about a 20-minute drive south from where the race will be held.
Herald Provincial Park For those who prefer them, Herald’s is the provincial campsite that is closest to the South Canoe trails. The park is waterfront and picturesque, but of all the spots listed here, it is the furthest away. It takes about 35 minutes to drive there from the race site.

The Salty Dog is a 100% Volunteer Run Event! Hosted by the Shuswap Cycling Society, a non-profit society dedicated to promoting cycling in the Shuswap. We maintain and support others to maintain the trails we love in the Shuswap. We also promote safe active transportation in the community, and put on many fine races, rides, and events.
